What Astra AI offers for studying
Its official exam-preparation page describes uploading photos, PDFs and other study materials, choosing an exam date, and following a path with exercises, quizzes, flashcards and podcasts. It also mentions an AI tutor and progress tracking.
Presenting Astra as "just a homework solver", while claiming another app alone can work from students' notes, would be inaccurate. Advertised features overlap across study tools. The useful distinction is how a real session works for you.
Try it with your own material
Choose a short lesson you know well enough to check. A clear, complete document is a better starting point than a mixture of several chapters. Remove unnecessary personal information and confirm you are allowed to upload the material.
Before importing, write down what the tool needs to cover. For a science lesson, this might include a key definition, a mechanism and the meaning of a diagram. Afterwards, check whether the questions address those points and whether any page has been missed.
As part of your personal check, deliberately give one incomplete answer. Examine the feedback: does it identify what is missing, and can you verify it against your notes? Fluent wording is not enough if it changes a definition or introduces an exception outside the material being studied.
Then close the tool and answer a question on paper. Look at what you practised, rather than only counting completed steps.
What the marketing pages cannot establish
A feature list does not show performance on your handwriting, language, subject or teacher's instructions. These need checking. That is not evidence that the product fails in those situations.
A suggested path cannot automatically know what your next teacher-set test will contain. Compare its priorities with classroom guidance. Likewise, a progress indicator describes activity in a tool; it does not certify readiness for every possible question.
We do not treat marketing promises as outcomes established for each learner. A testimonial selected by a provider is not an independent evaluation.
Astra AI pricing: free access, subscriptions and credits
The French App Store listing describes a free download with in-app purchases. On 17 September 2026, the catalogue included "Astra AI Plus - Monthly" at €20.00, alongside annual purchases and credit packs. This does not establish that every listed offer is available to every account or in every country.
Before paying, check the actual charge, the period covered, renewal and usage limits. Work out whether your expected uploads and generations fit the offer. Read the conditions for the channel you use, web or app, rather than assuming they are identical.
If a screen mentions a trial, check when payment starts and how much it will cost. A free download does not mean unlimited use of every feature.
Astra AI or Wizidoo: how to compare
Wizidoo also prepares quizzes and cards from uploaded course material. Its announced new version includes a guided path and review of mistakes; check availability. We do not describe those functions as exclusive.
Compare the same difficulty in each tool. How much adjustment is needed before you have useful practice? Does the feedback match your lesson? Can you easily return to unfinished work? Those answers, together with the cost for your use, can inform your choice.
For parents, this new version shows difficulties encountered in a course and the advice given to the child when available. If your child confuses two ideas in their answers, you can look at the relevant point together, revisit the explanation and ask for an example in their own words.
